Course Description

In this 2-day course, you will learn about Service Desk Express Service Desk from the perspective of a support technician. You will learn to effectively navigate through the Service Desk Express Service Desk application by creating and managing vendors and service contracts, creating Inventory Catalogs, and creating and assigning configurations.

Course Objectives

·  Overview of the Service Desk Express database architecture

·  Review basic Service Desk Express Service Desk functionality

·   Identify the Asset Management modules and their relationships within Service Desk Express Service Desk 

·   Understand relationships between Inventory Catalogs and their associated Items 

·  Utilize Inventory Service History

·  Request, approve, and purchase items using the Purchasing Modules

·  Receive and assign inventory items

·  Perform Database Customizations (overview)

·  Perform customizations to Service Desk Express modules (overview)

·  Presentation of Service Desk Express ITMS and how it will interact with Service Desk Express

Prerequisites

This course material is designed for end-users of the product such as asset management staff, procurement managers, and Service Desk Express administrators who are responsible for implementing and managing the asset management process. Students should possess a working knowledge of Service Desk Express Service Desk.
